Epicurean Wines Chardonnay 2021

The Epicureans
The Epicureans is a group of four friends who make wine out of the top bracket. A Chardonnay and a red blend in the Bordeaux Style, using grapes which originally came to South Africa from the French Atlantic province of Bordeaux.

I would hope that every serious wine drinker would have a couple of bottles of the Epicurean Wines Chardonnay 2021 in his or her collection. Elegant livery in a Burgundy shaped bottle and a simple calligraphy label. The wine is the essence of purity and gravitas. Brilliant citrine colour in the glass. From entry the wine has bright citrus, a rich and generously weighted palate and a long gently waning aftertaste with a little brush of minerality. In France the length of taste is measured in caudalies. One caudalie equalling on second. A fine wine has anything upward of 8 caudalies, this wine exceeds 8 for a truly fine wine.

Epicurean, The Red Blend
Epicurean also makes a fine blend of noble red grapes. The current available vintage is the 2015, one which I have no yet tasted, previous vintages were sublime.
