The Cape Blend has become known as a Pinotage led blend. This one, the Simonsig Frans Malan Reserve Cape Blend 2016 is made up of 70% Pinotage with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
Named for Frans Malan, founder of Simonsig Wine Estate, a pioneer and an innovator, one who was fond of Pinotage.

Frans’s sons, Francois and Johan now run the Estate and are, with good vineyard management and skills in the cellar, producing some very exciting wines.
