La Motte is a premier Wine Estate situated in the Franschhoek Wine Appellation. The Estate has access to contract grown grapes from other wine appellations. Grapes for the wine originate from vineyards in the Walker Bay, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch areas. The wine is a blend of Merlot (52%), Cabernet Franc (30%), Petit Verdot (10%) and Malbec (8%).
Separately vinified by Edmund Terblanche the La Motte Winemaker and his team, the wines spent a year in previous fill French Oak Barrels before being blended and prepared for bottling
