Vergelegen is in the Stellenbosch Wine Appellation, near Somerset West and one of the premier wine estates and tourist destinations in the Western Cape. The Manor House, home to Willem Adriaan van der Stel is impressive in itself and made even more so by a line of Camphor trees in front of it now into their 4th Century.
Andre Van Rensburg, Vergelegen Wine Maker
In France this would be regarded as a First Growth Wine Estate. Andre van Rensburg is the Winemaker at Vergelegen and has, over the years, built up a fine reputation for himself.
