Situated on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountains, Groenvlei Farm, home of Peter Falke Wines, is at the heart of what is known as the Golden Triangle. Surrounded by some serious producers, itself one of them, these farms are cooled by gentle breezes from False Bay not too far off to the South.

Werner Schrenk is Peter Falke’s Award Winning Winemaker, and general Manager of the Estate. He is assisted by Louis Nel, Cape Winemaker’s Guild member, as consultant.
After lockdown, I do urge you to visit the Estate, not only for its sublime wines, but also for its fine menu of sublime cheese and cured meats platters and other delights, and of course the view, which is spectacular. The estate is open later in the evenings than any other in Stellenbosch , so it is a perfect place for sundowners and a snack. Closed on Mondays.
