Norah’s Valley, shines a whole new light on De-Alcoholised Wines with the launch of the Velvet Red, the Silk White and the Satin Sparkling…

Norah’s Valley Vineyards

Norah’s Valley is a new wine producer, the wines for which are produced in the Nuy Valley between Worcester and Robertson. De-Alcoholised Wines are becoming de rigueur for people who don’t take alcohol for religious or dietary reasons, and also for the designated driver for the trip home.

Apart from the health benefits, the Norah’s Valley Wines are all delicious wines on their own. The wines are elegantly packaged and come 6 in a carton, which carries the same design.

The wines are made using the conventional, traditional wine making practices. Once complete, they go through a highly technical machine called the spinning cone. In a two step process the spinning cone removes the aromas and flavours from the wine. It then removes all but a trace of alcohol. The aromas and flavours are then blended back into the wine. The process involves no additions and is chemical free

Norah’s Valley Velvet Red

Elegantly labelled in a Burgundy shaped bottle, closed with a screw cap. In the glass, the wine is a translucent dark cherry red. The aromas are bright fruit, cherry, mulberry and roadside brambles. The palate is delicate, though generous. The oak is there in undertow to support the fruit. Well balanced and harmonious in the waning aftertaste. The grape used is the South African created Pinotage.

Norah’s Valley Silk White

Elegantly labelled in a Burgundy shaped bottle, closed with a screw cap. In the glass, the wine is a pale golden straw colour. The aromas are bright fruited, desiccated pineapple and mango. The palate is delicate and generous with the pineapple repeated, winter melon, mango and an undertow of sweet tropical limes. Well balanced and harmonious in the waning aftertaste. The grape used for this wine is Sauvignon Blanc.

Norah’s Valley Satin Sparking

Elegantly labelled in a classical Champagne shaped bottle, closed with natural cork and a wire muzzle. In the glass, the wine is a pale golden straw with vibrant bubbles rushing to the surface. The aromas are of bright sub-tropical fruits, desiccated pineapple, passion fruit and ripe mango. The palate is delicate and generous and alive with the aromas making a reprise with winter melon and sweet tropical limes at the ending. Well balanced and harmonious. The grape used for this wine is Sauvignon Blanc.

The Norah’s Valley Wines are available in specialist wine shops and through their website.
