A beautiful Cape Dutch Manor House and surrounding, a spectacular view over False Bay, two excellent restaurants and of course the fabled wines. Groot Constantia is situated on the slopes of Constantia Mountain in the Constantia Wine Appellation. Here there is a history of over 330 years of winemaking. Constantia Wine created a golden era for Cape Wine when Hendrik Cloete sold wine which landed up on the tables of royalty in Europe, and Napoleon in Exile on St Helena and was written about. Sauvignon Blanc Grapes make up 61% of the blend, the balance is Semillon

The grapes were hand-picked and vinified separately in 50% new oak and 25% second fill and 25% third and fourth fill French oak barrels. The wines were separately vinified and matured on lees for 10 months before blending and bottling, and then aged in the bottle for another 12 months before release.
