Glenelly Wine Estate Lady May 2016

Glenelly Wine Estate is situated on the lower slopes of the iconic Simonsberg in the heart of the Stellenbosch Wine Appellation. Glenelly is owned by Madame May-Eliane de Lencquesaing. For a number of years, she owned and ran Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande in Bordeaux for over 30 years.

Wanting to make a wine here as good as any in France, she bought Glenelly, a plum farm and proceeded with her team to create a model estate, with perfect vineyards, a winery, a superb restaurant called The Vine Bistro and a fabulous glass collection with glassware from Roman times to Salvador Dali.
