The Durbanville Hills Winery is situated on the small Durbanville Wine Appellation. It sits on a promontory at the ocean end of the valley overlooking Table Mountain, Robben Island and Table Bay. One of the big assets is the cold Benguela Current which runs up our West Coast from deep cold South Atlantic.
Martin Moore, the founding winemaker, and Kobus Gerber and their team have made a stonker of a wine here. Using grapes from 9 wine grape grower in the Valley, they have a large selection. So here they have chosen pockets of various vineyards to create this complex wine
