Bizoe Estalét Syrah 2018, a perfect wine for your Valentine’s Day dinner…

Bizoe Estalét Syrah 2018

The Bizoe Winery of Rikus Neethling is situated in  the outskirts of Somerset West in the Stellenbosch Wine Appellation. “Bizoe” is derived from the French word “Bisous”, meaning “little kiss”.  Here, Rikus, makes an array of wines, the grape he uses are specially chosen from different Wine Appellations according to his and his customer requirements.

Rikus is passionate [to use an old cliché. In this case it is applicable] about his wines and his hands-on approach to artisanal winemaking.

Harvested only from the best quality grapes with complexity and character, . High quality wines are part of Bizoe Wines philosophy. Limited quantities from the best selected grapes are on offer, to create the ultimate wine for an unforgettable experience.

Apart from our wine of the day, I have recently tasted Rikus’s Morning Star Semillon. He told me that this past week they have been harvesting in the Darling vineyards for the 2022 version of this lovely wine. His Malbec, The Idioglossia 2018, is a benchmark for South African Malbec.

Now to the wine of the day, the Bizoe Estalét Syrah 2018, I have chosen one of Lizet Hartley’s delicious  dishes as a partner a delicious Fillet Steak with a decadent Brandy Cream Sauce. CLICK HERE for her recipe.
