The Table Bay Hotel stands proud in the V & A Waterfront and offers so much, not only to their international visitors, but also to Capetonians. One of the best things is the ample parking and a wonderful place it is for meetings, Breakfast, High Tea, Lunch, Sundowners and Dinner.
The Table Bay Hotel Executive Chef Jocelyn Myers-Adams and her team, offer excellent food in all those areas. With a master baker and pastry chef in Bobby Kumar, trained in India, there are always dishes on the Breakfast, High Tea Table, and Dessert Menus to please all the senses.
The Camissa Bistro
This is a serious Bistro in The Tblae Bay Hotel, with a menu of the most delicious of dishes. The Table Bay’s own label wines and craft beers add to the enjoyment of a meal. I have eaten there regularly and the standard and consistency of the dishes which come out of the kitchen is exceptional. Can never understand why the hotel restaurant is not so popular in South Africa. Here, in day time, you have a fabulous views of the Harbour and Table Mountain. You can have a pre lunch or dinner drink on the Oscar Terrace, named for Oscar, the well known seal who inhabited Cape Town’s Harbour. At night the calm warm ambience provides the quiet you enjoy when partaking of a fine meal.
The High Tea
This is one of the finest of High Teas in Cape Town. Bobby Kumar and his team, produce the most delicious of cakes and bakes. This is the place to take a group of girlfriends for tea, people of your office for a treat or a frined or loved one you want to spoil.
As they say on the Guide Michelin, well worth a visit.
