Simonsig Wine Estate is in the Koelenhof part of the Stellenbosch Wine Appellation. The Malan Family have been innovators supreme through three generations on the Estate. The late Frans Malan was the first creator of a Champagne style wine in South Africa, which has become well known as Kaapse Vonkel and has undergone a second fermentation in the bottle.

The wine is a blend of two great South African grapes, Chenin Blanc, and Chenin Blanc. South Africa has the largest vineyard planted to Chenin Blanc in the world, even larger than its natural home, the Loire Valley in France.
After a very gentle pressing the juice was cold and clear settled overnight before undergoing a slow and cool fermentation.
Elegantly bottled in clear glass the beautiful seashell pink showing through.
