Bonnievale Winery’s Rosé Moscato Perlé
There are some delicious wines made at The Bonnievale Winery and in The River Collection, this is a lovely wine, summer, or winter. Perfect with or without food, as a mid-morning refresher or sundowner, the wine is deliciously fruity with just a suggestion of a bubble adding more fun to the classical Muscat de Frontignan aromatics and flavours.
The Rosé Moscato Perlé is a sweeter style rosé and gets its colour and flavours from Muscat de Frontignan grapes that grow in the Robertson Wine Valley. Here, the vines are gently warmed by the sun and cooled by evening breeze – ideal conditions for producing this wine.
Enjoy it as a sundowner or as stylish midday refreshment. Try the wine as an aperitif, but also as a stand-out partner to food. It goes brilliantly with spicy dishes like curry as well as with salads and sushi or simply enjoyed with pizza and burgers.
The wine is part of Bonnievale Winery’s The River Collection, named in reference to the Breede River and its life-giving significance to the region’s farming families. The award-winning range houses a selection of premier white, red and rosé wines.
Tinus le Roux, the Winemaker
According to Bonnievale Wines Group CEO John Barnardt, the wine was added to The River Collection in response to the surge in demand for low alcohol wines, complemented by Perlé wines that are flavourful and well made. “As consumers have become familiar with the excellence of Bonnievale’s wines, sales of our Perlé rosé are soaring,” he says.
