Constantia is one of the oldest wine appellations in the Cape Wine Industry. Situated as a suburb of Cape Town, twenty minutes drive from the city centre, the estate lies on the east facing slopes of the Constantia Mountain. Cooling breezes from the Atlantic Ocean’s Benguela Current ameliorate the summer heat. This produces fine quality grapes, slow ripened for Viticulturist Floricius Beukes and his team to pick at idea ripeness to deliver to Boela Gerber, the Estate’s much awarded Winemaker.
