Bouchard Finlayson Vineyards is situated in the Hemel en Aarde Valley, near Hermanus on the South African South Coast. The influence of the Atlantic Ocean sending its cooling breezes up the valley plays an important role in ameliorating Summer heat in the vineyards.

The Estate was founded by Peter Finlayson and French Negotiant Paul Bouchard. It is now owned by the Tollman Family, International Hoteliers with important properties in South Africa, such as the Bushman’s Kloof Retreat, The Twelve Apostles Hotel, The Oyster Box Hotel in Umhlanga Rocks.
