Microwaved minestrone just not cutting it? Dazzle your tastebuds with a flavourful four-course soup and Seaward wine pairing this winter season! Available exclusively at the Spier Tasting Room from 1 June – 31 August 2022, this limited-edition tasting is a surefire way to warm up the soul.
Among the delights being poured will be White Bean Velouté complemented by Seaward Sauvignon Blanc, a tasty Carrot and Citrus Soup accompanied by Seaward Chardonnay, Spicy Lentil Soup partnered with Seaward Shiraz and Earthy Mushroom Broth with Seaward Cabernet Sauvignon. Each soup has been thoughtfully brought to life by our talented Spier chefs and expertly paired with our popular Seaward wines to enhance the best of both.
Launched in 2019, the Spier Seaward range is inspired by the Cape’s coastal terroir and pays homage to the benefits of growing grapes along the Atlantic ocean. The Cape is one of the few wine-growing regions where two different ocean currents converge. Moreover, its coastal vineyards are distinct from those located inland. The surrounding mountain ranges are a natural barrier to those very cooling sea breezes that give ocean-facing grapes their unique character. This character reflects resolutely in Spier’s crisp and complex Seaward range.
