One of the joys of Peter Falke Wines, is that the estate is open from 11h00 to 19h00 from Tuesday to Sunday. It is open later than other estates and offers so much for the perfect sundowner evening.
Peter Falke Wines is based on Groenvlei Farm up Annandale Road on the lower slopes of the Helderberg. Known as a premium wine producing part of the Stellenbosch Wine Appellation, several conditions help Werner Schrenk the GM and Viticulturist and his team produce excellent quality grapes from the vineyards. Good decomposed granite soils, cooling afternoon breezes from False Bay which ameliorates the summer heat in the vineyards and allow for a longer hang time to ripeness, resulting in fuller flavour and colour the Louis Nel, a member of The Cape Winemaker Guild has been the wine consultant for Peter Falke Wines since 2013.
In the winery, wine making is regarded as an art and a science. A modern cellar helps capture the fingerprint of the vintage with minimal interference in the processes. The Estate’s wines are truly a treat and the wines come in two ranges, the Peter Falke Collection and the PF Collection.
The food offering at Peter Falke Wines is simple and so suitable to sitting outside on the couches of the area in front of the tasting room.
