The Awards ceremony for the annual Showcook event, The One & Only Reach for the Young Stars Competition was held at the hotel this week.
The Silwood Cookery School Duo of Chefs won the Chef’s Awards, Merissa Naicker the Head Waiter’s Award and Gabrielle le Roux took the prize for the top Sommelier.
The Minister of Tourism, Mr Marthinus van Schalkwyk gave an excellent off the cuff speech which painted a very positive picture about the current and future state of affairs in the tourism industry.
