Muratie Sunset Sessions here is the Cellar Door
Muratie, the fabled Stellenbosch Wine Estate up the Knorhoek Road on the slopes of the Simonsberg, will be hosting a series of five Sunset Sessions in January, February and March 2023. These will feature talented local musicians. These events will provide an ideal opportunity to relax and enjoy a slower pace on this historic family estate, soaking up the summer sun, surrounded by friends, while enjoying the live music, beautiful sunset views of vineyards with Table Mountain in the distance, It goes without saying that good food will be on offer. Muratie’s fabulous wine rage will be on offer as well.
First up is the Nick Turner Trio on Saturday January 28th, They will perfom from 16h00 to 19h30. Nick Turner ia and accomplished South African singer and songwriter. He and his nimble-fingered musical compadres, Jonny Blundell and Schalk Joubert, will take you on a riveting musical ride from Brooklyn to the Mother City, from England to Loeriesfontein and beyond. Nick’s music effortlessly spans genres with influences ranging from rock, reggae, and afro-pop to ghoema, hip-hop and jazz.
The venue offers spacious table seating and lawn area, so feel free to bring your own picnic blankets.
