Tastings for the month begin on 7 December with The Stellenbosch Reserve. From their first 2006 vintage, Stellenbosch Ridge, the farm has focused on creating wines that pay homage to the town of Stellenbosch. Since 2009, this wine has only been produced as a Bordeaux blend, then with the production of the 2013 vintage, a white wine was added to the line-up and it became officially known as The Stellenbosch Reserve.

On 14 December, guests will enjoy a selection of wines from the cellars of Saronsberg in the beautiful Tulbugh Valley. Here they officially started winemaking in January 2004, with the pressing of their first Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The farm now produces a highly-acclaimed range of red, white and Cap Classique wines, made through incorporating the force-cooling of grapes, intensive hand sorting of all grapes and the use of gravity in the fermenting process.

Wines from Leeuwenkuil Family Vineyards will be showcased on 21 December. Passionate about both family and winemaking, owners Willie and Emma Dreyer are hands on farmers, whose family have owned and farmed this land since 1851. Privileged to have vineyard’s that produce large volumes of excellent grapes, they tend not to interfere with their natural growth and work to cultivate the right taste profile, delivering to the market a range of excellent wines.
