Durbanville Hills Winery is set amongst the vineyards of its 9 grape suppliers in the Durbanville wine ward which now forms part of the Cape Town Wine Appellation. Founding Cellarmaster Martin Moore and his red and white wine makers, Wilhelm Coetzee and Kobus Gerber make several ranges of wine in their cutting edge of technology wine cellar. Apart from its winemaking activities, the Winery offers The Durbanville Hills Trail Run on Sunday 4th February.
Funds raised will go to the Durbanville Hills Workers Trust which is focused on the farm and winery workers and their wellbeing. It is a 7-km trail, and I am very reliably informed that there are no hills!
There is a gift pack of a bottle of the sublime Durbanville Hills Sauvignon Blanc 2017, or some Durbanville Hills Chocolates.
The cost is R130.00 per person. You can pay on the day or book your tickets through www.Trailfun.co.za.
