This enchanting book is produced by Tebo and Lebo, a pair of Pretoria twins, who have turned their love of food into a profession. From their grandmother Koko’s kitchen to working at a flatbread stans as culinary students while attending University in Los Angeles.
The cooking in Food Stories is influenced by their time in America with chapters on ‘African American Food’, there’s Thailand, there’s a treatise on South African Jollof. There’s some Greek, some Italy and even koeksisters with a Rooibos Glaze.
The layout of the book is fresh, the photography by Liza van Deventer is excellent. Megan Daniels did the superb food styling.
I truly like this book; it is a breath of fresh air. It is also packed with all sorts of dishes you will want to make any time of the year. The twins make it such fun.
