Last week I attended a Spring Lunch at Silwood Cookery School in Rondebosch.
Having recently judged the cookery of Reach for Young Stars arranged and presented by the indefatigable Annette Kesler and Chania Morritt Smith of Showcook, my palate was in training for this incredible experience.
Have run a National Top Ten Restaurant, I would have been happy to see any of these dishes leave my kitchen, they were top class stuff. And prepared by students on the first – of three – years at The Silwood Cookery School in Cape Town.
The wine – Villiera Chenin Blanc 2011 and the Villiera “Down to Earth” Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2011.
