For the Meatballs
500g pork sausages
½ onion finely chopped
¾ cup fresh breadcrumbs
½ beaten egg
¼ tsp ground coriander or fresh if you have it
1 TBSP chopped parsley
Oil for frying
A little flour for shaping the meatballs.
Squeeze the sausage meat out of the cases into a bowl.
Add the onion, breadcrumbs, egg, coriander, parsley, seasoning and get stuck in there with your clean hands and mush it all together.
Shake a little flour onto a chopping board and with your floured hands shape into meatballs.
Put in the fridge to firm for 15 minutes
Shallow fry till cooked through
Sweet & Sour Sauce
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup vinegar
1/3 cup tomato sauce
2 Tbs soy sauce
2 Tbs Cornflour dissolved in ½ cup pineapple juice
If you want a bite with your sauce, add some sweet chilli sauce.
Combine all ingredients in a pan, cook over medium heat, stirring until sauce is thickened. It looks very murky at the beginning but it clears as it cooks.
Pour sauce over the meatballs and serve with fried rice or noodles
