There must be few who have not heard of Pieter-Dirk Uys, well known playright, humourist and satirist who, apart from Evita Bezuidenhout, has created a series of memorable characters and satirised many others.  I will never forget his lip living PW Botha.  An ardent aids prevention campaigner he lives in Darling though could at any given moment be on a stage in London, Holland or Germany.
